All That Matters in Life is This

Last Saturday I watched Roma by Alfonso Cuarón (Mexico | USA 2018).

I realised I was witnessing a M-A-S-T-E-R-P-I-E-C-E. Yes, with capital letters that is! Such a privilege.

I was awestruck.
I was mesmerised.
I was deeply inspired.

Roma is about the 25 year old nanny Cleo and her daily life with the rich family she is working for. The plot is situated in Mexico City of the seventies, and based on the childhood memories of director Cuarón.

These kinds of stories are the very reason I fell in love with movies. 

Because,

Movies move me.
Movies captivate me.
Movies invite me to step into a new window of possibilities.
They guide me and through movies I’ve learnt a lot about life.

Watching Roma, all my emotions got stirred up.

I laughed.
I cried.
I wondered.
I got upset.
I smiled.

It conveys the message of unconditional love & support—the universal, deep feeling we are all taken care of. That in every moment there’s help and guidance. And that we’re empowered to receive this and to give love & support to those who need this the most.

We feel alive.
We feel human.
We feel abundant.
We feel our lives are meaningful.
